Frederik Fjeldsted (three strikeouts), Patrick Fennessy (four strikeouts), Nicky Mercier, Sam Sexton (strikeout) and Jack Wade (strikeout) pitched in the win over Suncook, with Mercier, Owen Rumfelt, Bennett Pouliot, Fjeldsted, Wade and Hendrix Hildum all scoring two runs apiece. ■The Concord 10U Little League All-Stars finished pool play 5-0 with a 16-5 victory over Suncook and a 15-2 win over Laconia, and opened the District 2 double elimination tournament with a huge 17-0 win over Somersworth. Logan Rackliff pitched five strong innings, and Lucas Golden played great at catcher and had a big hit to keep the game close. Concord fell in the semifinals to Rochester, 4-2. Patrick Owen pitched a great game and Cam Burbank was strong in the field, Jaime Skafidas had a double and Wyatt Rockwell played well in the field.
The Concord Babe Ruth team played in the state tournament, dropping the opener to host Rochester, 12-2, before beating Plymouth in its second game, 4-3.
